But Media had completely blacked out two instances of victimisation of upright MP officials by MP Government who tried to punish the sand mining contractors who were doing illegal mining.
Under the Mining Act Minor Minerals come under the purview of the State Government.

Congress regime in MP during my tenure had given the right to auction sand mines to the Gram Panchayat and the Royalties were retained by them.

They are operating most of the sand mines in MP.
Nasrullaganj is a sub division in Budhni which is Shivraj Singh Chauhan's constituency and it also comes under the Parliament Constituency of Sushma Swaraj.
It is an open secret that CM's elder brother who is a Government teacher is doing sand mining in some of the villages in Nasrullaganj.
Congress activists who went to Amba Jadid, Badgaon and Satdev the three villages where illegal mining was going on, to protest were threatened.
In spite of the fact that these mines donot have Environment clearance neither they have the lease, sand mining in these village has been going on unabated.
In 2012 an upright SDM of Nasrullaganj Girish Sharma issued a notice of Rs.490 Cr to Shiva Construction for illegal mining. He was transferred to Chatarpur and was kept without a posting.
Manoj Saryam another Tribal SDM at Nasrullaganj when he took action against illegal mining was immediately transferred.
No effort has been made to collect penalty imposed and the matter is now being processed to be closed.
Price of sand has increased 6 times in last 7 years. Even State Royalty is not being collected.
Would BJP leadership in Delhi which claims to be against Sand Mafia seek clarification from Shivraj Singh Chauhan CM MP and take action?
Impossible! BJP is a Master of Double Speak and is a beneficiary of illegal mining.
Why has Sushma Swaraj become synonymous with illegal mining? First Bellary - supporting Reddy brothers and now Budhni - supporting Chauhan brothers.
